Chris Loves Julia x Loloi Henry Olive/Ivory Wool Rug
This product is a special order and is expected to ship in 4-6 weeks.
Description
The Henry Collection from Chris Loves Julia x Loloi is a hand-tufted area rug that adds a touch of personality to a solid-colored design that can easily pair with other patterns in the room. These designs feature tufted stripes for subtle contrast and depth. The rug’s wool pile is thick and satisfying to walk on, with gently nuanced color variation. This collection is hand-tufted of 100% wool in India and Goodweave-certified, ensuring our commitment to ethical production and the support of weavers’ communities. Some shedding is expected and a natural characteristic of wool rugs; we recommend vacuuming frequently without a beater bar.
Care Instructions:
Clean spills immediately by blotting with a clean, white dry sponge or cloth. Professional cleaning recommended. Appropriate rug pad is highly recommended on all surfaces to prevent slipping, add cushion, and improve durability. Expect shedding. Vacuum regularly. For vacuuming, use a vacuum cleaner without beater bar or one where you can set the bar to the highest pile setting. If your vacuum has variable power settings, set on low. Vacuum full length of the rug, turn and repeat to the next area, rather than back and forth motion.

Beautiful plush carpet
"The carpet is very good quality, comfortable and soft. I give it 4 stars because the colour does not match the photo. It is about 3 shades lighter. Not olive but a light pale green. It still worked for me and I am keeping it."

The Complete Rug Guide
The right rug can transform a room, adding warmth, texture, colour and definition, while helping bring the entire space together. From choosing the right materials to understading how your rug was made, a little knowledge can help you find a rug that works beautifully with your home and lifestyle.
Use this guide to explore common rug materials, construction methods, everyday care and answers to frequently asked questions.
Rug FAQ
The right rug size depends on the room and your furniture layout. As a general rule, choose a rug large enough to visually anchor the main furniture rather than one that sits independently in the centre of the room. In a living room, aim to have at least the front legs of your sofa and chairs resting on the rug. For a dining room, the rug should extend approximately 24 inches or more beyond the edge of the table so chairs remain on the rug when pulled out. In a bedroom, a larger rug can sit beneath the bed and extend beyond the sides and foot to create a soft, balanced look.
There isn't one material that's best for every home. Wool is an excellent all-around option because of its durability, softness and natural resilience. Synthetic rugs are practical for busy households and high-traffic spaces, while natural fibres such as jute offer beautiful organic texture. Consider where the rug will be placed, how much foot traffic it will receive and how easy you need it to be to maintain.
Look for durable fibres and a relatively low pile. Wool, polypropylene, polyester and other performance fibres can all work well depending on the rug. Flatweave and low pile constructions are particularly practical in entryways, hallways, dining areas and other frequently used spaces.
We recommend using a rug pad whenever appropriate for the rug and flooring type. A quality rug pad can help keep your rug securely in place, add cushioning, protect the flooring underneath and reduce friction that can contribute to premature wear.
Some shedding is completely normal, particularly with new wool rugs. Loose fibres will generally diminish with regular use and gentle vacuuming. Avoid aggressive vacuum settings or a rotating beater bar, which can pull at the rug fibres.
Yes. Small variations in colour, weave, texture, dimensions or pattern are a natural part of many handmade rugs and aren't considered defects. These subtle differences are part of what gives an artisan-made rug its individual character.
Absolutely. Indoor/outdoor rugs can be an excellent choice for busy indoor spaces. Their durable, easy-care fibres make them particularly useful for entryways, mudrooms, kitchens and homes with children or pets.
Low-pile rugs and durable performance fibres are generally the easiest options for homes with pets. A lower pile is easier to vacuum and is less likely to catch claws than a loose or highly textured construction. Performance and indoor/outdoor rugs can also be helpful in areas where spills and accidents are more likely.
Rotating your rug approximately every 3-6 months can help encourage more even wear. Rotation is especially helpful in areas with heavy foot traffic, uneven furniture placement or significant natural light.
If an individual fibre or yarn works its way above the surface, carefully trim it level with the rug using sharp scissors. Never pull a loose yarn, as this can damage the construction of the rug.
Professional cleaning is recommended when a rug requires a deep clean or has a stain that cannot be safely treated at home. How frequently this is needed depends on the rug's material, colour, traffic and household. Always choose a cleaner experienced with the specific fibre and construction of your rug.
