By nature, solid wood will expand and contract in response to the environment’s humidity and temperature; and over time, cracks may develop.

Travertine is porous by nature and features pitting of varying sizes as part of its appearance, as well as unique veining and micro cracks. This product is sealed with an epoxy coating for added protection, though smaller pits will be left as is to retain its natural look.
To ensure the long-lasting beauty of your travertine piece, follow the instructions below:
• Dust regularly with a clean, dry cloth to brush off loose dirt.
• Gently blot all spills immediately. Refrain from wiping to avoid spreading the liquid on the surface.
• Use a soft bristle brush to clean surface area and pitting with mild soap and water. Ensure all soap residue is removed by using a secondary damp cloth. Dry thoroughly with a clean cloth to avoid water stains.
• Do not use chemical or acidic cleaners and abrasive scrubbing pads as they can damage or scratch the surface.
• A specialized travertine cleaner can be used to treat larger stains. Patch test the cleaner on a discrete area of the piece before use.
